Traditional culture in the contemporary national culture of China

As a result of the policy of reformation and openness pursued by the leadership of China, Chinese traditional culture and Western innovations turn out to be inseparable in the modern Chinese culture. The research objective is to examine the attitudes of Chinese towards their own traditional culture and identify the most common elements of the Chinese traditional culture prevalent in the daily routine of people. The study is based on the survey conducted among Chinese by one of the authors in January 2016. It is concluded that the traditional culture needs not only the modern promotion, but for its preservation it is necessary to combine the efforts of politicians, scientists and educators.
