Traditional doctrine in the contemporary Abkhasian culture

The article is devoted to the study of traditional Abkhazian doctrine. Despite the fact that the Abkhaz formally declared Christians ( 62%) and Muslims (30%), almost all consider themselves supporters of the Abkhaz traditional religion. Based on forwarding submissions on the territory of modern Abkhazia, the author reveals the mechanisms to preserve traditional doctrine and strengthen them in the new political and socio-cultural conditions.
