Traditional and innovative in the appearance of Nur-Sultan

The paper is devoted to the study of the features of the architectural appearance of the Kazakh capital Nur-Sultan. The urban planning concept is based on the main elements of the mythological world picture associated with the traditional beliefs of the people of Kazakhstan, as well as the values of modern civilization, which provides new technological opportunities for the implementation of bold plans of the country's leadership. The architectural dominants of the capital were created on a competitive basis with the participation of world-renowned architects. The implemented projects position Kazakhstan as one of the sovereign states that demonstrate a commitment to combining traditions and innovations in their development and a desire to prove themselves more actively on the world stage. Based on the study of the starting ideas related to the national culture and the diversity of the structure of modern Kazakh society, the features of the reflection of social processes and prospects for development of the country and the capital in architectural structures are shown.
