Traditional shipbuilding as part of the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia

The article deals with the history of studying traditional (folk) shipbuilding as an important part of the cultural heritage of peoples associated with the water environment. The author deals with methodological, methodological and practical issues of research on traditional ships and boats in Russia, and outlines ways to solve them.
