Traditional centers of folk pottery and tiled manufacture in South Ural

The article covers issue of the history of development of the folk pottery which was not only sphere of the handicraft industry spread in Russia and Ural but an original area of art creation as well. Identifying the centers of the pottery and tile development in the 19 and in the middle of the 20 centuries in the South Ural and their style features the author takes archive materials, displays of the museum collections and information obtained during expeditions.
