Trafficking of females: causes, personal characteristics of victims, reduction of victimization, counteraction

The need to analyze modern approaches of domestic and foreign specialists on the issues of victims of trafficking (human trafficking) is mainly due to the fact that in the context of the new millennium, most countries have to deal with the active influence in their states of well-organized transnational criminal groups exporting abroad persons who become victims of the slave trade. Today, the identified problems are actually global in nature, since it is difficult to find a state in the world that is not affected by trafficking issues. The Russian Federation is also no exception, since globalization problems have also affected it; therefore, countering the criminal phenomenon in question is also important for our country. The fundamental reasons contributing to the commission of the analyzed criminal activity are its increasingly organized latency and, in addition, these criminal attacks are associated with material need, financial insolvency, as well as the plight of the victims themselves. During the research, the author notes that females who have become victims of the assaults in question are primarily, unlike men, subject to severe stress conditions. In most cases, the basis for such unique personality can be explained by psychological complexes that appeared as a result of experienced criminal conflicts. Therefore, one of the priorities of law enforcement officers should be to ensure the safety of the victims in question. They must be fully provided with various assistance: medical, social, psychological. Victims of these attacks must be assessed as victims of serious illegal acts and it is also important to prevent their revictimization. Today, trafficking is a serious criminal offense related to international crime, which violates people’s rights in one of the most inhumane ways. In this regard, in the future it is necessary to improve measures, which will allow us to provide additional mechanisms for the prevention and prevention of the activities of transnational criminal groups in the field of trafficking.
