Transformations in foreign trade relations between the eastern regions of Russia and the provinces of China

Transformations in the modern geopolitical and geo-economic picture of globality have the consequence of reformatting interethnic and interregional relations. The increasing economic competition between the United States and China, the increasing sanctions pressure of the West on Russia actualizes the question of the importance of interaction between the countries in the regional dimension. The article analyzes the problems and prospects of foreign trade relations of the eastern territories of Russia, with an emphasis on the regions of Siberia, with the North-Eastern provinces of China. According to the authors, objectively conditioned by the aggression of the West, the rapprochement of Russia and China is within the framework of a strategic partnership, but has limitations of domestic economic policy and national interests. In this situation, Siberia and the Far East appear to be regions that, according to their economic parameters, most correspond to the Northeastern Provinces of the People’s Republic of China and optimal foreign trade relations between them are able to neutralize existing conflicts.
