The article discusses the problems of the banking sector in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis of the motivation of Sberbank staff in the conditions of remote work is carried out, the factors of staff dissatisfaction are identified. A study was conducted on the impact of remote work on the activities of a credit institution. The positive factors that influenced the transformation of the Bank's operations and ensured the sustainability of Sberbank's development in the context of coronavirus infection were identified. The conclusion is made about the impact of a competent approach to personnel management and the active development of digital services on the performance of Sberbank in the context of the pandemic.
