Transformation of educational institutions in the era of the digital economy

The article defines the vector of development of the sphere of educational services in the period of global digitalization of the economy. The authors came to the conclusion that it is necessary to expand digital technologies in educational activities, this issue became particularly relevant in 2020 – 2021 during the introduction of restrictive measures. The transition to innovative learning technologies will reduce paper document flow, give the student the opportunity to show independence, simplify the work of the teacher. The Russian state pursues a consistent policy in the field of digitalization of education, implementing various national and federal programs, while financing activities aimed at implementing such a policy is carried out mainly at the expense of the federal budget. At the moment, there are a number of factors complicating the process of introducing modern technological solutions in the field of education: insufficient material base of educational organizations, lack of connection to the high-speed Internet (mainly in public institutions), conservatism on the part of both teachers and students. The authors analyzed the level of digitalization of the educational process based on the results of research by international information groups, and concluded that the digital transformation of the studied field of activity is low.
