Transformation of the world economy in the context of globalization: investment aspect

It is established that investment incentives can become a key tool of competition policy between and within countries in order to attract foreign investment. It is proved that the policy of investment protectionism should be aimed at protecting the domestic market to ensure national security in strategically important sectors of the economy. It is determined that it is promising for the governments of the countries to find a balance between a policy that takes into account the interests of all parties to the investment process and the formation of a favorable investment climate in the country. It is found out that the formation of a mechanism for implementing the country’s investment strategy in regional integration associations is the key to purposeful state regulation of investment relations. In this case, the need for international cooperation increases. It is established that international coordination helps to avoid protectionist tendencies, as well as to reduce tariff barriers to investment. In this case, monitoring, evaluation and control of the implementation of the country’s investment strategy should take into account the factors that affect the activation of investment flows, that is, those factors that investors take into account when determining investment directions. It is determined that the main factors of the formation of a favorable investment climate can be attributed to security in the country, the effectiveness of state regulation, the ease of paying taxes.
