Sectoral structure transformation of the national economy as a factor of economic growth

Decision making, selection of target indicators of state economic policy in Russia should be based on understanding and recognition of existing structural imbalances in the national economy. Statistical observations in the context of the modernall-Russian classifier of types of economic activity in the period 2002-2016 allow us to determine the formed negative trends in economic development: a constant decrease in the share of manufacturing in the structure of gross value added. During this period, in the national economy of Russia, a competitive core of industrial production, resistant to external shocks, was not formed. The paper substantiates the selection of guidelines for state economic policy aimed at ensuring economic growth based on the growth of manufacturing industries.
