The transformation of the «party of power» into the dominant party in Russia in 1999-2008 by the example of Yaroslavl region

The article is dedicated to investigation of regional features of constructing of the «party of power» and its transformation into dominant party by the example of Yaroslavl region. The author examines phases of development of the "nited Russia"in the region, results of the elections to the State Duma of Russia in 1999, 2003, 2007 and the elections to the Duma of Yaroslavl region in 2004, 2008. The article discovers role of the «party of power» in the system of regional authorities.
