The paper describes changes in the morphological structure of gray forest soils (Luvisols) during their post-agrogenic development were investigated in the succession chronosequence which included arable, abandoned lands of 6, 15, 30 years old, and secondary deciduous forest (Experimental field station of Institute of physicochemical and biological problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Pushchino, Moscow region). It was found that with the termination of agricultural use there is a gradual change in the genetic horizons in the direction of formation of the soil profile, close to the natural counterparts.
