Transformation of the «Agricultural literature» index in digitalization era

The history of the creation and development of the systematic index of domestic documents «Agricultural Literature» is considered, the stages of its development are disclosed resulting in forming the current structure and reference tools of the index. A conception of selecting literature, thematic coverage and technology for forming the index are presented. The issues of possible bibliographic investigations are considered. The changes happened with the index for its life cycle and with introduction of automated technologies are shown.
