Transformation of the Mordovian higher school as a factor of socio-cultural development of the region (mid-1950's - mid-1980's)

The paper is devoted to the analysis of transformation processes of the Mordovian higher school in the historically important period of mid-1950s - mid-1980s. The authors pay special attention to the structural formation of higher education institutions as well as their influence upon the socio-cultural development of the region.
