Indigenous populations in the Kursk region, the number of individuals with low activity of nucleus organizing regions (NOR) is 29 %; with average – 41 %; high – 30 %, with an average of functional activity of NOR 19,46±0,13 standard unit, only for persons with moderate transcriptional activity NOR is an optimal level of chromosomal aberrations in most adaptive somatometry indicators, determining the best fitness of an organism to the environment and to maximize the chances of survival.
