The article considers the influence of permafrost degradation due to climate change on the road infrastructure of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. Quantitative data on road infrastructure built on permafrost are calculated. A model assessment of the effects of permafrost degradation was carried out using data from the climate change scenario RCP8.5 for the period up to 2050. It is estimated that the expected damage from the changes will amount to 95 billion rubles. in the interval 2020-2050, which will be about 0.05% of the gross regional product of the studied regions. The greatest expected damage will occur in Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
