The article presents important elements of the mourning etiquette of the Kyrgyz. According to the customs of the people, the deceased is treated in a special way. Such uniqueness is widely reflected in the epic "Mansa", which is a valuable spiritual heritage of the Kyrgyz people. Unlike the traditions of other peoples, the Kyrgyz carefully performed each rite from birth to burial. The article provides detailed information on the observance of existing rituals of announcing death, song lamentation, washing the deceased and other similar rituals. The authors note that in the mourning etiquette of the Kyrgyz, the relatives of the deceased, especially women's clothing, play an important role. The article provides detailed information about women's clothing during mourning. They were tactful in notifying relatives of the death of a person. In such cases, the Kyrgyz informed their relatives with the help of komuz. Therefore, they could understand the loss of a loved one by listening to the melody with the help of komuz.
