Trends and perspectiyes of the Russian forest exploitation

Ideas of a forest branch of the Russian economy and its positions in the world market are considered in the article. Parameters and characteristics of the Russian timber processing complex development during last 20 years are investigated. Trends and spatial features of development of the domestic forest exploitation are revealed. The major factors, which have caused emergence of system problems in the timber processing complex development, are determined.
