The article deals with the theoretical aspects of the anti-café space used for the organization of cultural and leisure activities in the city. The main content of the text is the analysis and conceptualization of the anti-café phenomenon in the framework of the theories of "third place" and "non-place" in the field of sociological science. The features, functions and consumers of the anti-café as a public space under the conditions of hypermodern and consumer society are studied.
