The third patriarch of the Tiantai school Zhiyi and his writings

This article describes a short biographical essay of the third patriarch of tiantai school Zhiyi and his role in tradition formation of tiantai Buddhism. The complete list of his works is given. Attention is paid to three great works of tiantai school, the fourth, but not less significant writing of Zhiyi «Initial gates of the Dharma's world stages», is also described.
