Efim Zvenyatskiy’s staging of “Three sisters” as an answer to Osip Mandelstam: to Mandelstam’s anti-Chekhov stance

The author argues against the assessment of A.P. Chekhov’s works given by the poet O. Mandelstam in a number of his critical articles. Mandelstam examines the writer's works on the account of the staging of Chekov’s play "The Cherry Orchard" in the Voronezh Drama Theater where he worked during his exile. The author of the paper also looks for the arguments to dispute with Mandelstam in a live theatrical practice of today referring to the staging of A.P. Chekhov’s play "Three Sisters" offered by Primorsky Academic Drama Theatre named after M. Gorky to persist his point of view.
