The relevance of the study of the stages of the formation of Russian messianism is due to the program article by Polish Prime Minister M. Morawiecki published in May 2022, dedicated to discrediting the concept of the Russian world and the main directions of undermining the potential of Russia's soft power. Surguladze identifies two great messianic projects of Russia: 1) the struggle for the liberation of the Orthodox world and pan-Slavic unity during the Russian Empire; 2) the attempt to build the world's first proletarian state, the creators of which assumed global prospects for Sovietization. It is concluded that messianic aspirations are a logical aspect of the geopolitical and politico-ideological subjectivity and sovereignty of the great power. The author believes that the geopolitical essence of the Russian Federation, the tasks of ensuring its national interests and national security presuppose the existence of an appropriate ideological base and make it natural to raise the question of the third great messianic project of Russia.
Identity politics, russian messianism, great messianic projects of Russia, attempts to discredit russian history and russian world, informational and ideological confrontation
