Labour of convicts and various types of deprivation of liberty in the criminal legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea

Purpose: Comparative analysis of penal and penitentiary provisions about labour of convicts and various types of deprivation of liberty in legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea. Methodology: Method of analysis, comparative-legal and formal-legal methods were used in the article. Results: Some general features of the variations of deprivation of liberty (penal detention, imprisonment for a limited term and imprisonment for life) and forced labour in the criminal and penitentiary legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea are analyzed, ideas for development of Russian legislation on the basis of analysis are suggested. Novelty/originality/value: The article has a certain scientific value, as it provides a comparative-legal analysis of the regulation of deprivation of liberty and laubour of convicts in the criminal and penitentiary legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea.
