Meningococcal infection is not a rare and potentially dangerous infection with high mortality and possible long-term disability, especially in children under one year of age. The article discusses the difficulties of diagnosing meningococcal infection in children under one year of age using the example of a clinical case. An analysis of the medical history of a patient at the Infectious Diseases Center of the Regional Clinical Hospital in Karaganda (Kazakhstan) is being carried out.
