Meningococcal infection is not a rare and potentially dangerous infection with high mortality and possible long-term disability, especially in children under one year of age. The article discusses the difficulties of diagnosing meningococcal infection in children under one year of age using the example of a clinical case. An analysis of the medical history of a patient at the Infectious Diseases Center of the Regional Clinical Hospital in Karaganda (Kazakhstan) is being carried out. The result of the study is the demonstration of an atypical debut of meningococcal infection in a child under one year of age with clinical and laboratory parameters
