Labour migration: from theory to practice

The article analyses the problems and specifics of the current stage of migration to European countries. It is emphasized that the process of cultural adaptation of migrants is accompanied by ethnic contradictions and collision of cultures. The authors conclude that so far the countries have not established effective mechanisms facilitating integration of immigrant diasporas in the host society. The authors believe that the problem could be resolved at the global level only, the countries should combine efforts to find effective means for adaptation of migrants.
