The article presents the results of the study of youth labor potential in the Vologda Oblast. We analyzed qualitative and quantitative characteristics of this age population group. It shows that qualitative characteristics of young people have some similar trends with the total population of the region. The main concern is the low values of integral indices of creative and cognitive potential.
