Labor resources and the employment of regional population

Бесплатный доступ

Systemic changes in the state of labor and employment are under the influence of two main factors - demographic and economic-institutional. The negative impact of demographic processes at this stage is expressed in an increased level of premature mortality. At the same time, the working-age population group is being intensively replenished due to the entry into the active working life of representatives of the generation of the 1980s. This positive process allows supporting economic growth largely due to the reduction of the demographic burden on the able-bodied population and the corresponding minimization of social expenditures. However, from the point of view of long-term prospects, the current situation presents a big problem, because the decline in the birth rate that has occurred since 1992 will begin to affect the process of reproduction of labor resources from the beginning of the next decade.
