Tuarming and camping trip with a check test of tourist skills as new forms of recreational sport tourism (Kirov region experience)

The article analyzes the experience of Kirov region in the implementation of new forms of recreation sport tourism. The recreational sport tourism development should consider the modern society development trends and meet the needs of the population. Having appeared at the intersection of sport tourism and other forms of activity, recreational sport tourism has become a unique socio-cultural phenomenon that has no analogues in the world. Recreational sport tourism technologies are widely used not only in social projects, but also in commercial activities. The article is aimed at summarizing the experience of Kirov region in the implementation of new forms of recreational sport tourism which includes competitions in “Tuarming”, trials of the all-Russian physical and sports complex of Civil Defense Squads “Camping trip with a check test of tourist skills”, and the day of hiking “Autumn walk”. The authors of the article were the first to propose such forms of recreational sport tourism and they are also the organizers of these events in Kirov region. The article proposes an organizational and infrastructural model for implementing the new forms of recreational sport tourism. The central place in the model is given to the Federation of Recreational Sport Tourism, which is a base of a resource center for preparing for the trial of “ Camping trip with a check test of tourist skills “. The resource center, thanks to financial support from the Presidential Grants Fund, is the basic infrastructure unit for the development of recreational sport tourism in municipalities. interaction among other organizations in conjunction with the technologies of recreational sport tourism, patriotic activities, physical culture and sports, history and area study, create new products and activities. The article reveals the features of the events, provides quantitative data. Using the survey method, feedback was received from the participants of the events. The sample size was 30% of the total number of participants, volunteers and organizers. Most of the people involved in the projects positively assess the activities of the resource centers, the organization of new events, but also note the limitations of their functions. Based on the opinion of the target audience of the projects, the authors give the recommendations to create the multi-age recreational sport tourism clubs on the basis of resource centers. The results of the research as well as the Kirov region experience in implementing new recreational sport tourism forms can be adapted in other regions of Russia.
