Бесплатный доступ

Therefore, the construction of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline instead of the South Stream blocked by the European Commission, when Russia played for broke and implemented mutually acceptable solutions to supply Russian gas to Turkey's borders and European consumers (alternative to the Ukrainian transit corridor). The relevance of the article lies in the fact that the agreements between Russia and Turkey on the construction of a gas pipeline under the Black Sea undoubtedly open up new opportunities in the development of bilateral relations, which in recent years have faced the problem of "limits to growth" and the need to seriously expand the established model for creating a new energy corridor. In the article, the authors assessed the needs of underground gas storage facilities in Turkey, considered the main scenarios for the implementation of the Turkish Stream.
