The article discusses the basic need of a tourist - the tourist experience, formed on the familiarization with tourist legends through the technologies of creating and using legend and storytelling. The authors substantiate the place and role of tourist legends in the positive tourist experience as one of the tasks of the experience economy in the tourism industry. The authors discuss the research concept of “conceptual tourism space”, a kind of tourism space, in which all its components are united by the one common theme, and its development strategy is based on the formation of a tourist impression through combination of traditional tourist infrastructure and intangible component - tourism legends (or their groups) and/or stories (storytelling). The article presents the author’s model of conceptualizing the tourist space based on the technology tourist storytelling. The themes underlying the conceptual tourist space may be different, and tourist legends are only part of them...
