Tourism is sometimes viewed as a kind of mirror of modern consumer culture, reflecting the materialistic ideas of society and individuals. Recently, in the tourist environment, there has been a transition from the 3xS model to the 3xE model, where one of the components is experience and entertainment. Naturally, not all tourists want only impressions, there is also a large and constantly growing group, for whom traveling is a way to expand one’s horizons, a form of personal development. However, in modern tourism, the proportions among the three “E” are not always well balanced or most desirable. The time of emotions, sensations, psychological impact dictates new rules; in the tourist offer, entertainment and experience often prevail. Traveling is a continuous fun and joy, during which tourists are constantly eating, tasting and consuming products offered to them. Critics even talk about the “disneyfication” of tourism or about “ fast food” tourism.
