The work of Sholom-Aleichem at the L. Kaganovich Birobidzhan State Jewish Theater

The article for the first time analyzes the performances of the Birobidzhan State Jewish Theater named after L.Kaganovich, which existed in the EAO from 1934 to 1949, staged based on the works of the Jewish writer Sholom Aleichem. An outstanding author of the late XIX century, a talented satirist, humorist, playwright who managed to embody realistic images of the life of the Jewish people in his works. His works were directed by directors of all Jewish theaters that existed in the USSR. And the main ideas of the novels of Sholom Aleichem are still relevant.
