Creators of science and machines

This article describes a brief historiographic review of the work and achievements of the great thinkers of the ancient period, the Renaissance and the middle of the 18th century in the areas of their labor and scientific activities. The analysis and direction of the conceptual formation of a strict and accurate unity of measures and weights, as a scientific achievement, for many countries of the world is given.
