Participation of banks in leasing

The article deals with the issues of legal regulation of leasing in the Russian Federation, including the legal status of leasing operations in the banking legislation. There is a similarity between leasing and long-term bank lending, as it is based on the same principles: urgency, repayment, payment. The direct and indirect participation of commercial banks in the establishment and development of leasing companies is disclosed. As a measure to stimulate this type of activity, lending to commercial banks by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation through specialized refinancing instruments is considered.
