Participation of Kuban Cossacks in the regional conflicts in the post-Soviet space (case study of the wars in Transnistria and Abkhazia in 1990's)

The article considers the problem of participation of the Kuban Cossacks in armed conflicts in the republics of Abkhazia and Transnistria in 1990-s. The author analyzes the reasons for participation and forms of assistance. Basing upon study of archival materials of the Kuban Cossack Army the author describes the position of the Kuban Cossacks in the local conflicts of the post-Soviet space. The undertaken research deduces the explanation of current contacts of the Kuban Cossacks with the authorities of the republics of Abkhazia and Transnistria.
