The participation of small businesses in the technological development of the economy: main directions

An important component of the competitive advantages of the economy at the present stage is the level of technological development of enterprises and industries. Priority in technological modernization is given to small businesses that build technological potential and diversify the economy. Increased support and infrastructure will open up new opportunities for export and digital transformation. The article presents the results of a review of official statistics and scientific publications on the research topic. The approaches to assessing the level of technological development of the economy are systematized, the main directions of small technology business development are identified, and the key conditions and factors of its development at the present stage are assessed. The influence of small technology businesses on the development of industries is noted, obstacles and opportunities for expanding the digital activity of small businesses are identified in order to form a strategy for supporting and developing the sector, and the need to develop an effective mechanism for government support based on the diversification of sources of financing for small technology businesses is substantiated.
