Based on archival material, the article examines the assistance of the population of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Republic to the front and families of soldiers of the Red Army. In the context of the development of modern Russian society, the Great Patriotic War, which demonstrated to the world the spiritual strength, patriotism and unity of the entire multinational people, is becoming most relevant. Rethinking the accumulated knowledge about this war, the search for new methodological approaches to its study and interpretation, expands the range of issues raised. And in this aspect, the appeal to regional history makes it possible to reveal the versatility of the nature of that Great War.
