The participation of local authorities as an institution of civil society in ensuring law and order and prevention of crime in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation

Traditionally, it is believed that the protection of society from illegal behavior is carried out by law enforcement agencies. At the same time, in order to improve its security, the company has the right to make additional efforts to assist law enforcement agencies in protecting public order. One of the key areas of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and civil society institutions is cooperation in the implementation of public order at the municipal level. The article analyzes the legislation of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on the participation of local governments in the protection of public order and prevention of offenses.
