The events of the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945 have become a part of the history of our country, the living memory of which would remain formany years to come. What the participants of those events have done is still alive in the stories of veterans. However, when we talk about the feat that veterans have performed, it is most often found that this feat has been performed by a Soviet soldier. And no matter how they try to distort it now and downplay the contribution of the USSR to the victory over Nazi Germany, it will not be possible to do this. The Soviet soldier has become, and still is, the image of a true and sacrifying hero. But when we speak about Soviet soldiers, it most often refers to the Russian soldiers. But it is not only Russian people who have contributed to the common cause. Based on this, the purpose of this article is to consider the contribution to the victory of the indigenous Siberian peoples who have participated in the fighting on an equal basis with all. After all, Siberia sent many people to the front, there are a lot of references to Siberian divisions, and the Siberian hunters, who were often representatives of the indigenous population of this territory, were one of the best snipers, about whom legends were made at the front. This paper presents a brief biographical material about those war heroes from the Northern peoples who have contributed to the victory. It is worth noting that there is not much information, and many heroes have only a first name, last name and years of life, which hide a whole life, sometimes so unexpectedly interrupted by the war.
