The Islamic concept of war and peace

The stereotype of a militant Muslim fanatic, entrenched in 19th century Europe, is still alive today, except that the image of a bloodthirsty Turk with a curved saber ready to slaughter the "infidel" for refusing to convert to Islam, was replaced by a Muslim terrorist with a green bandage on his head, armed modern machine and ready to kill and blow up the Gentiles. When conflicts between Muslims and non-Muslims, trying to divert public attention from the true (socio-political) nature of the confrontation, often use the Islamic concept of "jihad", clotheing what is happening in a religious form.
