The study of N. Machiavelli: political realism or political cynicism?

The article analyzes the study of N. Machiavelli about the prince and the methods of conquering and saving his authority. Describing different ways of studying the philosopher’s work “The Prince”, which are available on this topic in literature, the author divides them into two approaches to logical discourse: political cynicism and political realism. Through the analysis of different opinions, the author concludes that Machiavelli's political philosophy represents political cynicism, which is based on political realism.
