Taking into account the risks and threats of the international economic environment in the socioeconomic strategic plans

The instability of economic development, some risks and threats at all economy levels and in all spheres of activity requires a more thorough and verified assessment of the economic environment. The situation also requires the identification of relevant mechanisms for preventive response to emerging risks and threats. The aim of the study is to develop recommendations on the mandatory consideration of risks and threats to the international economic environment in the implementation of strategic planning of socio-economic development processes. The implementation of the goal has predetermined the solution of the following tasks related to 1) the consideration of problems arising in the development of strategic planning documents; 2) the need to specify the threats to the international economic environment at the current stage of development; 3) development of the procedure for accounting and monitoring of threats to the international economic situation in strategic plans for the development of the national economy. The results of the study are methodological recommendations for integrating threats to the international economic environment into strategic development plans. As a discussion issue, it is proposed to revise the periodicity of assessing and taking into account the threats to the international economic environment at both the macro and meso levels of the national economy.
