Forearm lengthening with stressed intramedullary reinforcement

The results of forearm lengthening with intramedullary reinforcement in 9 segments of 7 patients have been studied. The average index of osteosynthesis was 24,4±1,2 d/cm. There was no delay of bone tissue regeneration. Proceeding from the results of the study we consider intramedullary reinforcement of forearm bones during lengthening to contribute to reparative regeneration of bone tissue and to serve as an additional way of fixation after fixator removal.
