The article deals with the concept and content of the mechanism for ensuring the rights and freedoms of a suspect. The essence of the procedural form as an element of the guarantee of the realization of rights is disclosed. The concept of criminal procedural guarantees of a person's legal status and the problem of their provision in legal proceedings is investigated.
