Criminal prosecution and insignificant act

The article is devoted to the question of the correlation of the concepts of insignificant act in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and criminal offense. The paper reveals the essence of a minor act based on the provision of Part 2 of Article 14 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, examines the problems arising in practice, in connection with the application of this rule, and also pays attention to some discussion questions about the insignificance of the act that exist in the science of Criminal Law. Supported the thesis about the necessity of introduction to the criminal law categories of criminal offenses that will contribute to the solution of problems associated with the presence in the legislation of provisions about insignificance of the offence. The article contains arguments that support the validity of the decision to assign insignificant act to the category of criminal offenses.
