EU security threats and coping mechanisms

Security is a key element of the sustainable development system, as it ensures stable and uninterrupted functioning of all spheres of social, economic, cultural and political life of the society. Security is diverse and includes various subsystems that protect society from a variety of threats, including threats of a nature character. The European Union integration process poses a new challenge to the development of security systems. In many ways, this challenge is due to the cooling of relations between the EU and the US, as well as public demand. The development of the European security system has complex institutionalized nature, but in many issues, it is not enough to counter effectively potential threats of sustainable development.
