Get away from party squabbles, gentlemen! (about the political position of the student P.A. Stolypin)

This study analyzes the political views of the outstanding public official P.A. Stolypin in his student years. Historiography has often suggested, but never proved the genesis of his monarchical worldview during his studies at St. Petersburg University. In order to trace the mechanism of formation of his views and believes, the study analyzes the social situation in the university community and, in particular, among natural science students, one of which was P.A. Stolypin. The study uses lists of his classmates, their memories, as well as stories about student unrest and his own memoirs about university years as sources.
