«Smart city» of Moscow: innovative strategies, technological solutions and socio-economic prospects

The article is devoted to the analysis of the implementation of the “Smart City” concept in Moscow, considering the key areas of digital transformation of the capital. The main focus is on the development of an intelligent transport system, including automation of traffic lights, the Moscow Transport platform and the integration of carsharing services, which helps reduce congestion and increase mobility. The role of digital services (the Mosuslugi portal, the electronic medical card system) in optimizing citizens’ interaction with urban infrastructure is being investigated. A special place is given to projects in the field of ecology, such as the Energy Efficient Quarter, and the involvement of residents through the Active Citizen platform. The authors emphasize the use of advanced technologies (IoT, Big Data, AI) that provide real-time data collection and analysis. Achievements in improving the quality of life are noted, but problems are highlighted: digital inequality, cybersecurity and the need to adapt legislation. Moscow is presented as a successful example of the synthesis of technology, governance and public participation, relevant for other megacities.
