Universal structures of mechanical disk hopper feeding-orienting for bodies of revolution asymmetric at the end faces of blanks

The article discusses some types of universal designs of mechanical disk hopper feeding-orienting devices for a wide range of asymmetric workpieces of solids of revolution, in which either replacement of gripping and orienting elements or their adjustment is provided for orienting workpieces of various shapes and sizes. The method of designing gripping and orienting members of universal mechanical disk hopper feeding-orienting devices is presented, which makes it possible to ensure reliability of their functioning when gripping and orienting asymmetric workpieces of bodies of revolution. The results of parametric synthesis are given on the example of an improved universal mechanical disk hopper feeding device with teeth and an adjustable orientator in the form of an annular sector for rod blanks in the form of a cap.
